Home stereo systems can be expensive and complicated, but Sony’s stereo receiver, which I’ve been using for the past few years, makes for fuss-free HiFi. It has an FM receiver, Bluetooth, and can be connected to a TV for a home theater experience. Plus, the built-in pre-amp makes it easy to plug in a turntable to listen to records. Whether I’m working from home or having friends over, this stereo is pretty much always on. For $200, it’s a great value. I’m not a morning person, but this year, I found that developing a morning routine makes it easier to get out of bed. At the end of the day — and especially on Thanksgiving Day — I love to unwind with a good drink, and this year, I’ve been sipping on Cazcanes Tequila’s No.7 Anejo.

Unlike some of the big tequila brands, Cazcanes is more of a boutique-style distillery, slowly and painstakingly crafting only the finest tequilas from Jalisco, Mexico. This expression, aged in American oak barrels for at least a year, is rich and exquisite, with a juicy mouthfeel and smooth finish. The flavors are at once familiar and complex — think bright coconut, ripe cherries, dark chocolate and wild agave. Served neat or on ice, this is the type of drink you’d be proud to serve not just at the holidays, but all year round.
