Adam Scott Stumbles Into Lumon’s New Hires In ‘Severance’ Season Two Teaser

It’s time for Lumon Industries employees to clock in.

Following a dizzying Severance Season One finale, Apple TV+ released a Season Two teaser Wednesday for the workplace thriller. It begins with severed employee Mark, played by Adam Scott, stepping out of an elevator and sprinting aimlessly through the white, narrow hallways of Lumon Industries. Mark reaches a screeching halt, when he discovers his microdata refinement coworkers have been replaced by a new cohort of severed employees. Mr. Milchick, the floor supervisor played be Tramell Tillman, then enters with a handful of balloons.

“Welcome back Mark S.,” Mr. Milchick says in the teaser. “Been a minute.”

The Apple TV+ series Severance, which first aired in April 2022, makes its long-awaited return in January 2025. In the Ben Stiller-directed, Dan Erickson-created series, some of fan’s favorite Lumon employees are returning to work: Britt Lower’s Helly, Zach Cherry’s Dylan, and John Turturro’s Irving, along with new hire Sarah Bock. Other returning cast members include Jen Tullock, Michael Chernus, Dichen Lachman, Christopher Walken, and Patricia Arquette.

In the first season of Severance, viewers meet Mark and a coterie of other Lumon employees who have opted in to the severance procedure, or the process of surgically dividing your work and personal lives. The series defines “Innies” as the work versions of themselves and “Outies” as their personal selves. Innies and Outies know little about each other’s existence or well-being.

Season Two picks up after the “Innies” organize an uprising against Lumon Industries following workplace woes, hack into the control room, and inhabit their Outie personas. Now, Mark and his friends must deal with the unsettling consequences that come with interfering with the severance barrier. The first episode premieres Jan. 17 on Apple TV+, followed by new episodes every Friday.
