Ariana Madix Sings at Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade After ‘Vanderpump’ Recasting

Just a few days after Bravo announced the next season of their hit show Vanderpump Rules will be recast with an entirely new group, Ariana Madix didn’t waste any time getting back in front of cameras at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The former reality star, who also went on to host the most popular season of Peacock’s Love Island USA over the summer, sang her own rendition of the Cardigans’ “Lovefool” in front of audiences both in attendance at the New York City parade and those watching at home on NBC.

Standing on a Peacock float in front of the Macy’s Herald Square location, Madix swayed back and forth singing the classic lyrics, “Love me, love me/Say that you love me/Fool me, fool me/Go on and fool me/ Need me, need me/Say that you need me/I can’t care about anything but you.”

Madix’s vocal performance at the Thanksgiving Day Parade comes as no surprise to her fans and followers who watched her journey on Broadway when she was cast to play Roxie Hart in Chicago. She joined the show back in January 2024, almost one year after the news broke that her longtime boyfriend Tom Sandoval was having an affair with their friend and fellow VPR cast member Rachel Leviss. 

The cheating scandal took over pop culture news cycles for months, referred to as Scandoval, and fractured the show’s group dynamics to a point of no return. According to Bravo, production on the next season of Vanderpump Rules will begin next year, returning to their original concept.

“Under Lisa Vanderpump’s watchful eye, the West Hollywood mainstay SUR — and now TomTom — welcomes the next batch of servers, hosts, and bartenders rife with plenty of drama, situationships and frenemies,” the network said in a press release.

Madix, like many of her fellow Vanderpump cast members, took to social media to share some photos and memories of her time on the series (none of which included her ex-boyfriend). 

“Vanderpump rules, you will forever be that girl 💖,” she wrote in an Instagram caption. “I was up til 4am looking for all the right pics and the right words, but there’s no post or caption that could ever encapsulate everything. i am forever grateful to have been a part of such an incredible cultural phenomenon.”

Madix went on to thank the fans, saying they’ve “been the constant over the last decade.” 

“[Y]our love and support is what I’ll miss the most about it ending. you made this show what it is. to the fans who have shown up for us, old and new, it’s all because of you that we are here,” she wrote, adding, “im feeling at peace with closing this chapter and im excited for everything that is to come.”
