Following last Wednesday’s track list announcement of his debut solo album, Happy, BTS‘ Jin capped a big week by announcing a new partnership with Alo Yoga. Jin is the latest Alo ambassador from the K-pop world; the brand also partnered with Jisoo of Blackpink earlier this year. Jin teased the collaboration in September, tagging Alo in an Instagram post with a shot of him comfortably lounging in a gray sweatsuit, and the partnership was made official last week.
In a statement, Jin said, “What I really like about Alo Yoga is how they effortlessly combine comfort, style, and purpose while also emphasizing both physical and mental well-being, which is something I deeply value.” The partnership will continue through 2025, and Alo is slated to open a store in Dosan Park, Seoul, representing the Los Angeles company’s push into the global market.
In the campaign, Jin shows off Alo’s comfortable athleisure basics in neutral colors, including a black logo t-shirt and cap, black cargo pants, and a white long-sleeve t-shirt, as well as Alo’s Make Waves sweatsuit, featuring stitched panels in varying shades of heather gray. You can check out the pieces worn by Jin below, or see the whole campaign here.
Performance Off-Duty Cap
Alo’s logo cap is made from a performance fabric that’s a blend of polyester and spandex, making for a stretchy cap that fits most.
Alo’s recent collaborations with Jin and Jisoo highlight the continuing power of K-pop on global audiences, even as groups like BTS and Blackpink continue to be on hiatus. The groups’ members have taken on individual partnerships; Jisoo linked up with Tommy Hilfiger, Jennie partnered with Beats and Calvin Klein earlier this year, and Lisa was recently featured in Rolling Stone‘s Musicians on Musicians series. Meanwhile, BTS got miniaturized by Funko in collaborations with Toy Story and Despicable Me, and Jin was also tapped as Gucci’s global ambassador.
