Emilia Will Join the ‘Moana 2’ Universe With ‘Al Final’

Emilia is back in the world of Disney, but this time with her singing! The musician, who previously starred as Sofía in Disney’s Entrelazados, will join the soundtrack of Moana 2, singing a film original, “Al Final,” out Friday.

“I can finally share that I will be part of #Moana2 performing the song “Al Final” for the movie soundtrack,” the Argentine star wrote on Instagram, sharing a teaser of the single, which splices clips of the character with Emilia singing the track. “I still can’t believe it.”

The new track appears to be a Spanish-language version of Auli’i Carvalho’s “Beyond,” which will serve as the song that plays during the film’s end credits. Emilia’s version will presumably play at the end of the Spanish-language edition of the movie.

Along with “Al Final,” Moana 2 will also release its full soundtrack on Friday. The soundtrack album features several songs by Carvalho, including “We Know the Way” and “We’re Back.” Dwayne Johnson is also featured in film’s music, on “Can I Get a Chee Hoo?” and “Mana Vavau.”

The Emilia-Moana 2 announcement comes just days after she celebrated being nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album at the Latin Grammys, thanks to her recent album mp3. Speaking to Rolling Stone at the awards ceremony’s red carpet, Emilia shared that she was “still discovering parts” of the project and isn’t yet ready to let go of the album.

“I’m really inspired by the 2000s, which is my adolescence and childhood,” she says. “I’d love to reflect the 2000s, but the Latino side, and more of the folklore of my country. I’m listening a lot to Gloria Estefan, a lot of salsa, and Latin rhythms.”

The new track will follow the singer’s “Noviogangsta <3” and her Ana Mena collaboration, “Carita Triste.” She also joined Tiago PZK and Anitta on the viral “Alegría” in August.” Her album, .mp3, dropped last November.
