George Clooney and Brad Pitt’s Action Comedy ‘Wolfs’ Is Now Streaming

George Clooney and Brad Pitt are technically credited as voices on 2024’s If and shared one scene in 2008’s Burn After Reading, but the last time the duo truly worked together was 2007’s Ocean’s 13. Putting the pair back together in an action comedy seems like such an obvious move that you have to wonder why it took so long. Now they’re back in Wolfs, produced by Apple Studios. The film hit theaters on September 20, and as of today, is available to stream on Apple TV+.

Apple Studios produced original shows like Slow Horses and The Morning Show as well as the 2023 film Killers of the Flower Moon. Apple TV+ is also the home of Major League Soccer, and a subscription costs $9.99/month after a one-week free trial. Fans who want more Pitt and Clooney can also stream the Steven Soderbergh-directed Ocean’s films on Apple TV+

Wolfs is about two fixers who end up getting hired for the same job. They grudgingly realize they’ll have to work together, but they don’t want to be a team (hence the grammar-ignoring title). The film also stars Amy Ryan, Austin Abrams, and Richard Kind. It’s directed by Jon Watts, best known for directing the Tom Holland Spider-Man films.

Last week, Pitt and Clooney appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! during the cold open. In the taped bit, Kimmel offers Pitt and Clooney a briefcase full of money to take care of Kimmel’s long-time faux-rival, Matt Damon, but the pair offer to do it for free.

Clooney was also Kimmel’s guest. The host asked the Oscar winner about his headline-making op-ed calling on then-Democratic nominee Joe Biden to drop out of the race. Kimmel suggested that it had an “enormous impact on the presidential election,” but Clooney demurred, saying “bottom line is that it’s very hard to let go of power, and President Biden did something really extraordinary.”

Clooney also discussed his notorious reputation for pranks, including convincing Wolfs director Jon Watts that casting Brad Pitt would be difficult, despite knowing Pitt was already in.

In the Rolling Stone review of Wolfs, David Fear highlighted the obvious appeal of seeing Clooney and Pitt onscreen together, writing, “It’s all at the service of the Clooney-Pitt Show, and credit Wolfs for reminding you how fun the sight of these two guys running around while shooting guns, looking late-middle-aged cool and cracking wise, remains.” Stream now on Apple TV+.
