Hear Rascal Flatts, Jonas Brothers Join Forces on ‘I Dare You’

Rascal Flatts and the Jonas Brothers have teamed up for “I Dare You,” a lovelorn anthem that sees the country act and pop band sharing vocals.

On the track, Rascal Flatts — Gary LeVox, Joe Don Rooney, and Jay DeMarcus — kick things off with the first verse while the Jonas Brothers — Joe, Kevin, and Nick — take over on the second. Nick Jonas wrote the track along with Dan + Shay’s Shay Mooney and co-writers Dewain Whitmore Jr. and Tommy English.

The song arrives as Rascal Flatts are gearing up for their 25th anniversary Life Is a Highway Tour, which launches in February. The 21-date trek, named after the country trio’s 2006 hit “Life Is a Highway,” starts on Feb. 13 in Evansville, Indiana, and wraps on April 5 in Jacksonville, Florida.

“We’re so excited to kick off this next chapter of Rascal Flatts with this single, working with Kevin, Joe and Nick is such a blast, they’re class acts,” DeMarcus said in a statement. “I think this song fits perfectly into our catalog while also showing off something new and exciting, and we can’t wait to share it with our fans on the road!”

The Jonas Brothers, who formed in 2005, are preparing for their own 20th anniversary. The homepage of the band’s website currently boasts a countdown ticker that suggests an announcement, possibly involving a tour, could be arriving on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14. Fans can register to stay up-to-date on tour developments, as well.

Earlier this week, the brotherly trio announced they will return to Disney for a new holiday movie. According to a log-line, the film will boast a classic home-for-Christmas plot, following brothers Nick, Joe, and Kevin as they “face a series of obstacles as they struggle to make it from London to New York” in time for the big day.
