Inside the Best Parties of Super Bowl Week 2025 in New Orleans

From EA Sports’ famed Madden Bowl to a surprise b2b set that shut down Bourbon Street, New Orleans did it big with this year’s Super Bowl festivities

Another Super Bowl has come and gone, and for as much action there was on the field, there was a ton more going on off of it. Parties, performances, showcases, brunches, rinse and repeat — some of music, entertainment, and fashion’s biggest names descended upon the Big Easy for a weekend full of guest lists, vodka sodas, and four-song sets.

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker made out at the Spotify party, Don Julio had tequila chicken sandwiches, and Alix Earle cloned herself (probably not, but then how did she make it to all these events?) Here were some of the best parties and musical performances that went on in New Orleans ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles’ stunning beatdown of the back-to-back champion Kansas City Chiefs.

BEST LINEUP: EA Sports Madden Bowl

New Orleans’ Super Bowl LIX brought some of the biggest stars in music to the Big Easy and they didn’t disappoint. Case in point: Chris Stapleton, Shaboozey, Jelly Roll, and Tucker Wetmore coming together for country music’s best showing of the week at EA Sports’ Madden Bowl. Stapleton was fresh off his eleventh Grammy win (this time for Best Country Solo Performance) and the subject of a whole lot of praise when his rendition of the national anthem at the 2023 Super Bowl went viral this week. “Prep for that was a lot of nervousness and more practice than I’ve done for a lot of things,” he told Rolling Stone.

BEST LINKUP: Fanduel x Spotify Super Bowl Party

No Bruno, no problem. When Anderson .Paak (well, his alter ego DJ Pee .Wee) hit the decks to close out Fanduel and Spotify’s joint Super Bowl celebration, he brought backup. In lieu of his Silk Sonic compadre, Megan Thee Stallion and Flavor Flav popped out and lent their vocal prowess (kind of) for a performance of “Leave the Door Open” to start off the set. VIPs like Chance the Rapper and Paul Pierce looked on as Flav gave the song a couple of his signature “Yeah, Boy” adlibs. What a way for Paak to kick off his birthday weekend — he turned thirty-nine as the clock struck midnight right before he came out.

BEST CAUSE: FRI&NDS By Odell Beckham Jr. Launch

Odell Beckham Jr., one of nearby Louisiana State University’s biggest football stars, threw a massive bash to introduce his new platform FRI&NDS. The new venture is looking to platform up-and-coming creatives that might not necessarily have the connections or funds to execute their artistic visions. Actor John Hamm found his groove on the dance floor, Chance the Rapper hopped on stage to perform “No Problems,” and Shaboozey and BigXthaPlug teamed up for “Drink Don’t Need No Mix.” I don’t know about that…pace yourselves, guys!

BEST VIRAL MOMENT: Don Julio x Popeyes Party

How did Don Julio and Popeyes follow up their extremely viral collaboration announcement from a couple weeks ago? By getting rapper and middle Ball brother LiAngelo Ball to perform his massive social media hit “Tweaking” to a crowd of hundreds eating tequila-infused chicken sandwiches and winning miniature bottles of Don Julio 1942 in claw machines. GELO didn’t stop there: he went on to play two unreleased songs for the first time ever. The tequila brand kept bringing the music all week, from a Tinashe set at the same party to a b2b set overlooking Bourbon Street by John Summit and Dom Dolla.

BEST VICTORY LAP: Tao Presents The Big Speakeasy

Fresh off becoming just the third woman to ever win Best Rap Album at the Grammy Awards, Doechii pulled up to Tao’s House of Verizon and brought the artistry right up to a ten. Performing raucous renditions of “Denial is a River,” “Nissan Altima,” and more, Doechii delighted an already amped up crowd who were also treated to sets by Janelle Monáe, T-Pain, and Jermaine Dupri. Ice Spice, Shaboozey, Quavo, and other guests either partied hard in their own sections or held court with their friends and family in the party’s quieter corners. One guest that everyone saw: Shaquille O’Neal as he meandered through the crowd ahead of Doechii hitting the stage. Hard to miss.

Doechii’s appearance was just one of a number of events that took place at “House of Verizon,” located in the heart of downtown New Orleans at Fulton Alley. The activations also included a special showcase featuring RHUDE designer Rhuigi Villaseñor, as he unveiled a new collection with exclusive pieces created in collaboration with Verizon. Taylor Swift-approved designer Kristin Juszczyk also participated in a special styling session featuring pieces from her Off Season NFL Collection.

BEST GUEST LIST: Michael Rubin’s Fanatics Super Bowl Party

The Chiefs might not have been able to pull off the three-peat, but Michael Rubin did when it comes to throwing the most star-studded bash of Super Bowl weekend. A whopping nine performers took the stage: from the annual Travis Scott set to Ludacris and Ciara teaming up as Russell Wilson filmed offstage to a massive reunion when Post Malone and Quavo performed “Congratulations.” Martha Stewart and model Winnie Harlow chit-chatted on couches, Pittsburgh Pirates Paul Skeves (attending with LSU’s Livvy Dunne) showed off his rookie card, and Pete Davidson spun a Win Wheel. Only 363 days to land yourself on next year’s list.

BEST ACCESS: On Location’s Touchdown Club

For those who descended on New Orleans actually looking to take in the action on the field, the NFL’s official hospitality partner On Location provided a few different packages and entertainment options from early in the week all the way after the confetti had finished falling post-Eagles win. Ludacris performed a slew of hits at a pregame party steps away from the Caesars Superdone, with the Atlanta star telling the audience he was repping the South at Super Bowl LIX. Throughout the week, On Location hosted New Orleans Saints legends (like Drew Brees) at events that celebrated the town’s rich musical and cultural history. After the game, On Location’s most premiere badge holders got to enter a sectioned off portion of the actual Super Bowl field, interact with Eagles players as they celebrated Philadelphia’s second Lombardi Trophy, and make confetti angels right on the turf. BEST VIBE: DraftKings & h.wood Homecoming

The drinks were flowing and the hits were popping at the fourth edition of h.wood Homecoming, produced by The h.wood Group and presented by DraftKings. Nelly hit the stage with a set of his biggest hits, at one point joined by Flavor Flav. The Chainsmokers, meantime, had the crowd dancing and singing along, as fans (legally) climbed onto the stage to party behind them. Among the fans in the DJ booth: viral digital creator Jack’s Dining Room, sporting his signature “Yes Chef” hat. Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell was also spotted in the crowd, feting high-fives and hugs a day after winning the NFL award for “Coach of the Year.”
