The duo will kick off their North American tour in April

Julien Baker and Torres have announced a North American tour in support of their upcoming collaborative country album, Send a Prayer My Way

The pair will kick off the trek April 23 at the National in Richmond, Virginia, while the run wraps May 12 at the Admiral in Omaha, Nebraska. Baker and Torres also have a bunch of festival dates scheduled before and after the run, including sets at Big Ears Festival in Knoxville, Tennessee in late March, as well as the Newport Folk Festival in July.

Tickets for the duo’s headlining dates will go on sale Feb. 7 at 10 a.m. local time. Full info is available on their website

Baker and Torres started teasing Send a Prayer My Way earlier this year when they dropped their debut single, “Sugar in the Tank.” A few weeks later, they shared the follow-up, “Sylvia,” and revealed that the album would arrive April 18 via Matador Records.

Send a Prayer My Way has been nearly a decade in the making, with Torres and Baker agreeing to make a country record after playing a show together way back in 2016. Over the years, though, they’ve largely focused on other projects, primarily their respective solo careers. Torres released her most recent LP, What an Enormous Room, last year, while Baker’s Little Oblivions dropped in 2021. Baker, of course, also spent the last couple of years with boygenius, who released their debut album, The Record, in 2023.
