A 65-year-old antheral loading cargo into the backmost of a motortruck successful Brooklyn died erstwhile helium mislaid his equilibrium and stumbled into the way of a tractor-trailer, constabulary said Monday.
Shumi Izjaguev was loading a container motortruck connected Columbia St. adjacent the Erie Basin successful Red Hook erstwhile helium fell into the roadway and was struck by the driver.
Medics rushed Izjaguev to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital wherever helium was pronounced dead.
Cops said the operator did not stop. It was unclear if the operator knew the motortruck had struck someone.
There person been nary arrests. The unfortunate lived successful Kensington according to cops.
Izjaguev’s decease is being investigated by the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad.
