The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has collected fines amounting to Rs 1.4 crore from developers who violated the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued to curb aerial and sound contamination caused by operation activities, officials said.
The NMMC had issued notices to developers successful December with a 15-day clip to wage the fines and collected Rs 1.4 crore arsenic good till January 23.
The civic assemblage had published the SOP successful August 2024 pursuing a directive by the Bombay High Court, which had taken up a suo motu case, to trim contamination caused by operation activities.
