‘Onyx Storm’ Has Arrived — Here’s Where to Buy Rebecca Yarros’ New Best-Seller

Rebecca Yarros’ third entry in The Empyrean series, Onyx Storm, is finally here after dominating the charts as a preorder for months. But, while you can pick up the standard edition at any major retailer, the one to get is still the Deluxe Limited Edition of Onyx Storm, which is only available at Barnes & Noble (sold out at other major retailers)

The Deluxe Limited Edition of Onyx Storm features a few exclusive design features that won’t be seen on the book’s mass-market release. It boasts sprayed edges with stenciled artwork of dragons (dragonkind for the fans) and is only available in limited quantities. Given the series’ popularity and all the buzz around the new book, we don’t expect it to be available very long.

The Empyrean kicked off with Fourth Wing in 2023 and was quickly followed by Iron Flame later the same year. A viral sensation on TikTok’s reader community BookTok, the series follows 20-year-old Violet Sorrengail’s journey to become a dragon rider at Basgiath War College.

Yarros’ smash hit has already been picked up for television adaptation, with Amazon MGM Studios and Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society production company creating the show. Moira Walley-Beckett (Breaking Bad, Anne with an E) will be showrunner.
