While it might seem that the Sony PlayStation 5 was just released, it actually came out four years ago in Nov. 2020. However, Sony just released a new upgraded console for pro-level gamers.
Starting on Thursday, Nov. 7, the Sony PlayStation 5 Pro (Digital Edition) is available for purchase for $699.99 at PlayStation Direct, Walmart, Target and Amazon. The new console is for gamers who want better graphics, detailed audio, and smoother motion when playing their favorite PS5 games.
For 2024, the PS5 Pro is designed for better performance compared to the standard PS5. It offers gaming with 4K Ultra HD picture quality and enhanced AI-upscaling at a higher refresh rate of up to 120Hz for silky smooth and more fluid motion with no lag. For the PS5, you could only pick one or the other; either 4K video quality or 120Hz refresh rate, but with the PS5 Pro, you can pick both for more immersive gaming.
Meanwhile, the PS5 Pro also has advance ray tracing for detailed in-game reflections, shadows, and illuminations, while the overall gaming experience is deeper with sharp true-to-life graphics.
The new gaming console comes with the Sony PS PS DualSense Wireless Controller, a built-in 2TB SSD for storage, two horizontal stand feet, an HDMI cable, a pre-installed copy of Astro’s Playroom, and more. Additionally, the PS5 Pro is compatible with all PS5 games, such as Horizon Forbidden West, Gran Turismo 7, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Astro Bot, and other titles.
Retailing for $699.99, the Sony PlayStation 5 Pro is available right now at PS Direct, Walmart, Target and Amazon.
