The Weeknd‘s (maybe) final album is here — Hurry Up Tomorrow follows 2020’s After Hours and 2022’s Dawn FM, completing his latest trilogy. The rumors of his retirement may be exaggerated, however, as the Canadian R&B artist born Abel Tesfaye is instead looking to leave The Weeknd moniker behind for the next stage of his music career.
Hurry Up Tomorrow is rolling out on vinyl with variant album covers. The standard edition features a teary-eyed Tesfaye, following the aged portrait of Dawn FM and the bloody nose and smile on After Hours. There’s a catch for Weeknd fans, though — the vinyl pressing of Hurry Up Tomorrow comprises 11 tracks instead of the 22 on the digital release.
The Weeknd also teamed up with comic book artist and writer Frank Miller, known for his gritty Batman graphic novels, and Hajime Sorayama, known for his cyberpunk visuals, on limited edition covers. Other variants feature artwork by Spring Breakers director Harmony Korine and the late Jean Michel Basquiat. The Weeknd is no stranger to unique vinyl releases, having teamed up with MSCHF on a single for “Out of Time” pressed on a functioning saw blade.
The Weeknd is also hitting the road for dates across North America and will release a theatrical companion film for the album in May 2025. Directed by Trey Edward Shults, the film will co-star Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan alongside Tesfaye. You can check out the tour dates below. Presale begins on Feb. 5 at Ticketmaster.
