Don't worry Gisele, it all makes sense now
Duracell released its first-ever national Super Bowl commercial on Sunday, so who better to welcome their debut onto the nation’s football stage than the 10-time Super Bowl-appearing quarterback himself: Tom Brady.
Brady appeared in the commercial in the role of a Fox commentator who powers down just as he’s beginning to speak. Duracell is there to the rescue, with AA batteries that return the football legend to his former glory.
Brady’s 2014 roast also made an honorable mention in the commercial. While the three-hour comedy event on Netflix gave comedian Nikki Glaser breakout time in the spotlight, Brady said he probably wouldn’t ever do an event like it again.
“I loved when the jokes were about me, I thought they were so fun. I didn’t like the way it affected my kids,” Brady told the Pivot Podcast. “It’s the hardest part about — the bittersweet aspect of — when you do something that you think is one way and then all of a sudden you realize, I wouldn’t do that again because of the way that it affected, actually, the people that I care about the most in the world.”
Seems like Brady will be sticking to football-adjacent gigs for now. But really, AA batteries? You don’t win seven Super Bowls without at least a D cell.
