Trump Department of Education dismisses 'meritless' book ban complaints

The Department of Education has dismissed 11 complaints related to "book bans" and eliminated a Biden-era presumption tasked with investigating schoolhouse districts and parents, the bureau announced Friday.

The DOE called the publication removals "meritless" and based "upon a dubious ineligible theory." The bureau began investigating the complaints Jan. 20, uncovering that schoolhouse districts and parents person "established commonsense processes by which to measure and region age-inappropriate materials."
