The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) connected Monday arrested a caput constable of the Delhi Police for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 2 lakh connected behalf of Crime Branch Anti-Human Trafficking Task unit (ANTF) officials to debar framing an accused.
According to the police, Sanjay Kumar, caput constable, took a bribe connected the directions of Sub-Inspector Sanjeev Kumar and ASI Kirori Mal of Crime Branch ANTF, Daryaganj.
SI Sanjeev Kumar and ASI Mal person been suspended, the Delhi Police said.
“The constabulary laid a red-handed trap and caught Sanjay Kumar who asked for Rs 2 lakh for not implicating an accused,” a constabulary serviceman said.
