Jurassic Park’s Most Dangerous Creatures Are Out for Blood in ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ Trailer

The creatures abandoned at the original Jurassic Park research facility aren’t used to having visitors. In the official trailer for the latest installment in the film franchise, Jurassic World Rebirth, the swimming and soaring dinosaurs encounter unfamiliar faces with Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Mahershala Ali show up hoping to extract DNA from the three largest predators on the island.

Getting to the island is simple enough, Duncan Kincaid (Ali) tells Zora Bennett (Johansson) and Dr. Henry Loomis (Bailey). They’ll move up towards Barbados to avoid running into any government patrol officials — or at least whatever is left of them. “No one’s dumb enough to go where we’re going,” he says.

Getting the DNA they need isn’t as easy. Unless they’re willing to shove an extraction needle directly into a dinosaur — ones that were considered “too dangerous” for the original park — they have to get it from their eggs. Getting to them and getting out of there in one piece is its own battle.

“Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs,” a synopsis of the film reads. “Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived. The three most colossal creatures across land, sea and air within that tropical biosphere hold, in their DNA, the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind.”

Jurassic World Rebirth hits theaters on July 2 with a script from David Koepp directed by Gareth Edwards. The cast also includes Rupert Friend, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Luna Blaise, David Iacono, Audrina Miranda, and more.
