Mary J. Blige Dazzles in 2024 Rock Hall Performance

Mary J. Blige ushered in her Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction with a medley of hits in Cleveland on Saturday featuring Ella Mai and Lucky Daye, with Dr. Dre and Method Man onstage to induct the singer.

Dre and Method Man introduced Blige before she took the stage and opened her performance with 1994 single “My Life” wearing an all-black dress and matching hat alongside Daye. The icon shed her coat to reveal a dazzling top and thigh-high boots to deliver “Love No Limit,” and was soon joined by Mai. The performance also saw the Hall of Fame inductee perform hits “Be Happy” and “Family Affair,” her Dre-produced hit from 2001’s No More Drama. (Blige and Dre performed the song at Super Bowl LVI’s halftime show back in 2022.)

In September, during an appearance on Sherri Shepherd’s daytime talk show, Blige announced she would be releasing a new album, Gratitude, and embark on a headlining “For My Fans Tour,” which begins in January. The album, out Nov. 15, will follow her 2022 record Good Morning Gorgeous. “I mean, look at my life right now,” Blige said at the time when discussing her album’s title. “I’m in a constant state of gratitude. I feel good. I have jobs and opportunities. I’m healthy. My family’s healthy. I have people around who care for me and love me and I have amazing fans. I am so grateful to my fans for all the years of love they given to me, and support.”
