"If I'm the problem, well, you might be the reason," the country star declares in the title track of his upcoming album
Morgan Wallen has released “I’m the Problem,” the title track off his upcoming fourth LP. The reflective single sees the country star reflecting on a failed relationship.
“If I’m so awful/then why’d you stick around this long?” Wallen sings. “And if it’s the whiskey/then why you keep on pullin’ it off the shelf?/You hate that when you look at me, you halfway see yourself/and it got me thinkin’/if I’m the problem, well, you might be the reason.”
The candid song was written by Wallen, Ernest, Ryan Vojtesak, Grady Block, and Jamie McLaughlin, and produced by Joey Moi and Charlie Handsome. It features keyboard player Dave Cohen, electric guitarist Tom Bukovac, and acoustic guitarist Bryan Sutton.
Wallen will drop I’m the Problem, his fourth studio LP, in 2025, although the album has yet to get an official release date. It will feature previously-released single “Smile.”
The musician is set to hit the road in support of the new songs on the I’m the Problem Tour, which will make stops in stadiums across North America beginning in June and extending through September. Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett, Koe Wetzel, Gavin Adcock, Corey Kent, Ella Langley, and Anne Wilson are among the special guests planned for the stadium run. Tickets go on sale to the general public today.
“We made so many lifelong memories on the One Night at a Time World Tour, and I cannot begin to express how grateful I am for my fans and the way they showed up each night,” Wallen said in a statement when the tour was announced. “As I’ve been working on new music, it has inspired me to get back on the road and share these new songs with each of you on the I’m the Problem Tour. See y’all there.”
I’m the Problem marks the first full-length album from Wallen since 2023’s One Thing at a Time. Last year, he collaborated with Post Malone on the hit single “I Had Some Help” and joined Moneybagg Yo on “Whiskey Whiskey.”
