Oil retailers pick 26 PACS to set up retail petrol, diesel outlets: Union Minister Amit Shah

Oil selling companies person selected 26 Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) retired of 286 applications for mounting up retail petrol and diesel outlets, Cooperation Minister Amit Shah told Parliament connected Tuesday.

In a written reply to the Lok Sabha, Shah said the authorities has allowed PACS to run retail petrol and diesel outlets and LPG distributorship.

As informed by Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs), 286 PACS from 25 states and Union Territories person submitted online applications to found retail petrol/diesel outlets, of which 26 PACS person been selected by OMCs, helium said.

Under conversion of PACS, Wholesale Consumer Pumps into retail outlets, OMC reports bespeak that 116 PACS from 5 states person agreed to this conversion, and 56 PACS person been commissioned. For LPG distributorship, 2 PACS person applied for the 2 advertised locations successful Jharkhand.

As per the revised guidelines, PACS person been included nether Combined Category 2 (CC-2) for retail petrol/ diesel dealership and Combined Category (CC) for LPG distributorship, for which they tin use online arsenic per the advertisements issued by OMCs.
