Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has dismissed the Enforcement Directorate’s connection that it “provisionally attached 142 immovable properties having a marketplace worth of Rs 300 crore” successful transportation with the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) scam probe against him.
Siddaramaiah told reporters connected Monday that the properties attached by the ED were not linked to him. “I americium not linked (to the properties attached). They have, for governmental reasons, deliberately and unnecessarily issued a release,” helium said, adding that the attached sites were portion of the 50:50 sharing strategy of MUDA.
“The BJP has forced the ED to contented the release. It is politically motivated,” helium said.
In a connection dated January 17, the ED said it had “provisionally attached 142 immovable properties having a marketplace worth of Rs 300 crore (approx.) nether the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002, successful transportation with the lawsuit against Siddaramaiah”.
It alleged that Siddaramaiah “used his governmental power to get compensation for 14 sites successful the sanction of his woman Smt BM Parvathi successful lieu of 3 acres 16 guntas of onshore acquired by MUDA” and that the relation of erstwhile MUDA commissioner D B Natesh was instrumental successful the amerciable allotment.
