Under a fortnight thrust to mitigate information risks, the Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) seized abandoned and unclaimed vehicles from crossed Ahmedabad, said the police. In the past 17 days, the transgression subdivision has seized 500 vehicles of which 499 are two-wheelers and 1 is an car rickshaw.
A connection from the constabulary connected Friday said: “Between September 24 and October 10, 500 vehicles were picked up from Ahmedabad city”.

At least16 vehicles had been reported stolen and carnal FIRs filed by the owners, said the officials.
Further, 50 different vehicles had been reported stolen successful online FIRs and complaints, the officials further added.
