THE KOLKATA constabulary connected Tuesday rescued a 19-year-old youth, the lad of a businessman, who had been kidnapped for ransom and arrested 7 persons successful transportation with the case, officers said.
The transgression was a fallout of an unpaid loan, officers said, adding that further probe is underway.
On February 2, a 40-year-old businessman filed a constabulary ailment alleging that astir 2 pm, a radical of persons barged into his residence and aft threatening his family members, abducted his lad and fled successful a car.
“The complainant said helium soon received a video successful which his lad seemingly confirmed that the accused persons had abducted him. The main accused, Sanjay Rajak, aboriginal called the complainant and directed him to scope Howrah with Rs. 1.5 lakh for releasing his son,” said an officer.
Meanwhile, the constabulary who had filed a lawsuit and launched a probe, instructed the complainant to spell to Howrah.
“A constabulary squad followed him (businessman), maintaining a harmless distance. After reaching the spot, the squad intervened and the kidnapped idiosyncratic was rescued from the custody of the accused persons,” the serviceman said.
Police said that Sanjay Rajak (45), Rajesh Mallick (48), Sonu Kumar Mallick (27) and Bishal Yadav (34), on with 3 different accused, were nabbed from the spot and were subsequently arrested.

A hunt was conducted adjacent and a car utilized by the accused was besides seized.
