BTS’ Jin Hits the Beach in Video for Full Version of ‘Super Tuna’

BTS member Jin has shared the full version of his 2021 song “Super Tuna.” The singer dropped the upbeat song alongside a sun-soaked, tongue-in-cheek music video, which sees him hanging out and dancing at the beach.

The song’s release follows Jin’s performance of the track at 2024 BTS Festa, which took place in June in celebration of BTS’ anniversary. The performance marked Jin’s frist appearance after completing his mandatory military service and the first time he had showcased the full version with the second verse.

According a press release, the debut of the full version of “Super Tuna” is “a gesture of gratitude for ARMY’s unwavering support” and “further enriches the listening experience by capturing Jin’s lively spirit in greater depth and inviting listeners to immerse themselves in the upbeat energy.”

Jin initially released “Super Tuna,” as a shorter version, in December 2021. It quickly topped the Billboard World Digital Song Sales and Digital Song Sales charts, and remained on the Hot Trending Songs chart for 45 consecutive weeks.

The South Korean musician finished his military service in June and celebrated by taking part in the Olympic torch relay for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Since his return, Jin announced he has plans to release a single and appear on television variety shows this year, Yonhap News Agency reported.

“I’m working on recording music and filming variety shows,” he wrote in a statement to the news agency. “I’m trying to focus on my main job while showing my face as much as possible. The results will be out in a few months, so please wait a little longer.”
