“The betterment of dues from the remaining spot owners has been initiated. In the past 54 days, the betterment squad has visited 25 defaulting properties and recovered Rs 186.54 crore. Nearly 150 defaulting properties person been sealed and h2o proviso of 20 properties person been stopped and 10 caller teams person been formed to discontinue h2o proviso of defaulting properties," said Madhav Jagtap, incharge of civic spot taxation department.
Declaring a database of apical 100 defaulters of spot taxation amounting to Rs 334.1 crore, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) connected Tuesday decided to intensify its thrust to retrieve spot taxation from defaulters oregon seal the spot and disconnect the h2o supply.
In a statement, the PMC stated that determination are 438 government-owned properties with pending dues of Rs 142 crore and steps are being initiated to retrieve the dues. They see 59 Union authorities properties having dues of Rs 41.37 crore, 287 authorities authorities properties with dues of Rs 93.24 crore and 92 PMPML properties with Rs 7.7 crore dues.
