Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Saturday virtually inaugurated 75 borderline infrastructure projects worthy `2,236 crore crossed 11 states and Union Territories, the ministry said. A bulk of these Border Roads Organisation (BRO) projects—22 roads and 51 bridges on with 2 different projects — are located adjacent to the borders of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and the Northeast.
Of the 75 projects, 19 are successful J&K, 18 successful Arunachal Pradesh, 11 successful Ladakh, 9 successful Uttarakhand, six successful Sikkim, 5 successful Himachal Pradesh, 2 each successful West Bengal and Rajasthan and 1 each successful Nagaland, Mizoram and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
