‘Yellowstone’ Actor Cole Hauser’s Coffee Company Wrangles Up Stetson for Cowboy-Inspired Java Kit

Ever wanted to have a cup of Joe with Rip Wheeler? Well, now you can — actor Cole Hauser’s Free Rein Coffee company has come out of the gate bucking like a Bronco ever since its launch last fall, and the Yellowstone star isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Available in ground bean or pod versions and priced at $70, each kit features a brand new coffee blend called “Trailblazer”, slow-roasted in small batches at Free Rein Coffee Company’s artisan roastery in San Angelo, TX.

But what is “cowboy coffee”, exactly? For the uninitiated city slickers out there, this drink traditionally made by cowboys on the trail is brewed by heating coarse grounds with water (usually over an open flame) and then pouring it into a cup after the grounds have settled. Think of it like a French press-style brew, only without the filter. As part of Free Rein’s expanding “Reserve Collection”, this unique blend joins a small-batch line that combines hand-selected beans and spices from around the world (like cinnamon, turmeric, and cayenne) that give your brew a little kick (and superior smoothness).
