Dr. Dre, who produced the record, previously teased an “amazing roster” of collabs

Snoop Dogg is sharing some new details about who fans can expect to hear on his upcoming album. During the Bloomberg Screentime conference Thursday, Snoop revealed that he’s set to feature Sting and Jelly Roll on his future record, Missionary.

“I got a feature from Jelly Roll and Sting,” Snoop revealed. “I’m so happy that me and Sting have a record that’s so good.”

“We hung out and we chilled. Like a child that’s infatuated with somebody as a singer, and you get a chance to meet them and they give you everything you expected,” he added. “That’s what happens with me all the time: I meet people I’ve always wanted to meet and they’re everything I wanted them to be.”

Snoop has been teasing Missionary, which comes on the 30th anniversary of Doggystyle, for nearly two years. He revealed in late 2022 that he reconnected with Dr. Dre to produce the record. Dre told ET in this summer that there would be an “amazing roster of artists” on the LP.

“We were kids at that time, you know what I mean? Snoop may have been like 18 or 19 years old and I’m, I think, I’m six years older than him,” Dre said in August. “So we were kids at that time, and this one is gonna show a different level of maturity with his lyrics and with my music.”

“I feel like this is some of the best music I’ve done in my career,” said The Chronic legend.

Durig his Bloomberg chat, the rap star shared his excitement about tapping back into Dre after decades.

“1993 was the last time he produced a whole Snoop Dogg album,” Snoop said. “So this is a reunion, and it’s collaboration between two friends who genuinely love each other. We know we’re better together.”
