Child trafficking gang that abducted kids from New Delhi rly station busted, 4 held

On Monday, the Delhi Police’s railway portion said the pack had been busted with the apprehension of 4 people, including a couple.

According to police, erstwhile CCTV footage from the nighttime of October 16 was retrieved from the railway station, a pistillate was seen picking up the kid and boarding an auto-rickshaw from the main introduction gate.

A squad was formed to way down the suspect.

During questioning, constabulary said the mates admitted that the children were trafficked done an elaborate process — successful which forged papers were utilized to bypass aesculapian and ineligible hurdles — with the assistance of a clerk and a nurse.

Police said the clerk, Nirmala aka Nimmi, was arrested the aforesaid day.

“She prepared forged adoption documents, coordinated with prospective families, and utilized ineligible loopholes to marque the trafficking look legitimate,” DCP Malhotra said.

Following Nirmala’s questioning, a kid abducted successful October 2024 was recovered.

On February 4, constabulary arrested the 4th member, Kanta Bujhel, aka Dr Priya.

“She utilized her aesculapian inheritance (as a nurse) and IVF session contacts to present childless couples to trafficked infants… She arranged amerciable adoptions by misrepresenting the kidnapped children arsenic abandoned,” DCP Malhotra said.

After her questioning, a four-month-old pistillate child, abducted earlier this year, was recovered.
